The History

More than 95 years of tradition in Como weaving

Viganò S.p.A. was founded in 1930 by Gino Viganò, who opened a small weaving mill specialising in bedspreads and tapestries. In 1960 his son Piercarlo joined the company, expanding the production of velvets. In the 1980s the company expanded into the fashion and automotive sectors, and in the 1990s it consolidated its presence in the furnishing sector, with an increasing production of velvets. In 2004, Alessandra Viganò, the third generation, joined the company to continue the expansion of the brand.

Today, Viganò S.p.A. is active in Italy and worldwide also operating in the marine and hotel sectors. Based between Como and Milan, it is a leader in textiles for interior design, contract and fashion, producing fabrics and velvets for furniture and major international brands.
